Overview4As Foundation Overview: The 4As Foundation is committed to identifying, developing, empowering and ensuring the most diverse talent enters and succeeds in the marketing industry. We achieve this through programs aimed at discovering and cultivating talent through scholarships, high school initiatives, the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP), MAIP Alumni communities and 365BLACKPRINT inclusive of Dear Black Talent, VANGUARD and VANGUARD LatinX.
VANGUARD LatinX Vision: Over the years, more than a third of the MAIP cohort identifies as Hispanic or LatinX. As the 4As Foundation continues to nurture diverse talent and cater to their needs and professional goals, VANGUARD LatinX serves as a solution to ensure this population is recognized and is properly positioned for exposure and leadership within their respective companies. Mission: VANGUARD LatinX is a targeted approach to retain LatinX talent in the advertising industry. The program is designed to not only address the specific needs of the LatinX community, but helps create a professional environment centered around growth, exposure and impact. |
Audience:Fellow: Mid-level LatinX talent that has been identified by their organization as a rising star/future transformative leader. Mentor: An individual in their organization who is not the fellow’s direct manager. The mentor will help define goals and develop a concrete set of key performance indicators that will enable leadership to quantify the success of the program at its completion. Sponsor: CEO/Senior executive within the organization. The Sponsor will work with an executive coach, helping to identify areas of improvement and laying out potential new strategies around supporting their organization's LatinX talent. Point of Contact (POC): DEI/HR lead that will be the central point of contact for the organization to ensure the program runs smoothly and will provide feedback to the VANGUARD LatinX Program Manager. |
VANGUARD LatinX provides LatinX professionals with industry-leading sponsor and mentorship support. Over the course of four months, VANGUARD LatinX directly addresses the professional, organizational, cultural, and personal needs of participating professionals (Fellows) and organizational leaders to expose fellows to internal opportunities and advance them to the next level. Mentors and Sponsors explore what it means to be a transformative advocate for LatinX talent through a cultural context, gaining the skills necessary to identify barriers LatinX talent face and properly position LatinX future leaders for success. |
