When do MAIP 2026 applications open & what's the deadline?
MAIP 2026 applications open early October and will close on November 21st at 11:59pm EST. Are applications reviewed on a rolling basis? Applications will only be reviewed after the November 21, 2025 deadline If I graduate in December, can I still apply? Yes! As long as you are a current junior or senior in college, graduate student, or portfolio school student at the time of application, you are eligible to apply for MAIP. Which portfolio schools does the 4As partner with? While we have had MAIP candidates join us from a number of the schools listed below, this is not an exhaustive list of the institutions. NOTE: If you have questions about your school, please email us at [email protected]
What if I am a first-year graduate or portfolio school student and don’t have a transcript to submit? Please submit your final undergraduate school transcript. If you are selected as a finalist, you will have the opportunity to submit your most recent transcript at that time. Are two recommendation letters required, or can I only submit one? All applicants must submit one letter of recommendation by the November 21, 2025, deadline. NOTE: Applicants will request the letter of recommendation via the MAIP application portal by noting the email address of their main reference. The letter of recommendation should be from a current/previous supervisor, manager, or professor who can speak to your work ethic. Will the MAIP fellowship 2026 be virtual or in-person? IMPORTANT
Are internships guaranteed? And how possible is it to get a full-time job after the internship? Internship placements aren’t always guaranteed as host companies have limited roles to fill for the summer, so we highly encourage all who apply to do their best to stand out within their application, especially through the video and the essay responses. Full-time positions may be offered to MAIP Fellows following the summer; however, this is on a case-by-case basis determined by the host company. Does the MAIP Fellowship program provide housing assistance for in-person internships? Some host companies may choose to offer travel and accommodations as part of their internship. Travel and accommodations are not guaranteed if you are selected as a finalist. There may be opportunities for financial assistance. Please contact us at [email protected] for additional information. What disciplines could I be placed in for the summer internship? Discipline placement for the summer varies based on interest and skill set. While candidates are able to select their first and second choices, we encourage a full exploration across all of the different internship disciplines. Check out the list of 2026 fellowship disciplines offered during the summer HERE. One of the best things about MAIP is the chance to explore! If you’re unsure of what role/discipline would be best, think about the different skills you want to develop and get exposure to. For example, if you see yourself working with people daily, solving problems across different teams, and have worked on your college magazine, you might be a good match for an account management/client services internship, or you could thrive in Public Relations. Even if you’ve had past internships in account management, take a chance on something new like PR. Being open-minded to exploring disciplines is a great example of the curiosity that may unlock opportunities you haven’t yet considered. Where can I learn more about MAIP? Join us for live info sessions about the program and its details during our virtual MAIP Mondays series. Be sure to RSVP to our #MAIPMonday’s that best fit your schedule!
How many people typically apply to the program, and what percentage of candidates are selected? MAIP Fellowship cohorts vary in size each year, depending on how many host organizations offer internships. Typically, there are about 300-400 applicants every year for MAIP. The program is competitive. Make sure to put your best foot forward! How many rounds of interviews do candidates go through, and who are the interviewers? All students will complete one round of interviews with a MAIP Alumni after submitting their application. What’s the ideal MAIP candidate, and any tips for how to stand out on the application? There’s no ideal MAIP candidate for this fellowship, as everyone who has completed the program is unique in their own way. The 4As Foundation and MAIP celebrate every individual, and want you to bring forward your personal connection to our Mission, skills, and passions that help you uniquely stand out in the application. The video is a great opportunity to showcase the unique experience, qualities, and experience that you are bringing to host companies. Interested but currently ineligible to apply?
