4A's Foundation Scholarships & Awards

Since 1997, the 4A's foundation has distributed more that $4 million to over 350 individuals in scholarships to assist in degree completion, pursuit of careers within the industry, and professional development. Through the unwavering support of the marketing community and individual contributions, the following scholarships and funds are administered.

Scholarships

Helen Lansdowne Resor Scholarship
The Helen Lansdowne Resor (HLR) Scholarship is an international opportunity that aims to amplify historically marginalized voices in the creative industry. It provides female and non-binary college students the opportunities and support they need to successfully join the advertising industry’s creative ranks.​

Lester Wunderman Scholarship
The Lester Wunderman Scholarship Fund is uniquely designed to support talented students from diverse backgrounds, with broad skills and lived experiences, all with the common desire to pursue a career in marketing (defined as the evolving practices of advertising, as well as direct, digital, mobile, and social media marketing).
To ensure his impact and legacy continue for generations, this endowed fund is to benefit students by awarding two (2) individuals $5,000 toward their goals.
365BLACKPRINT Scholarship ​
The 365BLACKPRINT scholarship is designed to ease financial hardship for Black students in their last academic year of college. Five students will receive $10,000 to be used for resources needed to successfully navigate their senior year of college. To be eligible to receive this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Must identify as Black/African-American/Afro-Caribbean/African
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must be a rising senior at a 4-year university, community college or trade school
  • Must demonstrate of an interest in advertising, communications, marketing or related field
  • ​Must provide unofficial transcripts, one letter of recommendation and responses to two short essay questions.​​

4A’s Foundation Circle of Support | Latinx Catalyst Scholarship
The 4A’s Foundation Circle of Support | Latinx Catalyst Scholarship is a foundational effort to ease the financial barriers of Latinx rising seniors in college. Three students will receive $10,000 to be used for resources needed to successfully navigate their senior year of college. To be eligible to receive this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Must identify/ have Latinx ancestries: Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, South or Central American students who attend colleges and universities in the United States
  • Must be a rising senior at a 4-year university, community college or be in their final year of a portfolio or graduate school
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Must demonstrate an interest in advertising, communications, marketing, or related field
  • Must provide unofficial transcripts, one letter of recommendation and responses to two short essay questions​​

Bill Bernbach Diversity Scholarship
The Bill Bernbach Diversity Scholarship, sponsored by DDB Worldwide, recognizes excellence in art direction and copywriting by awarding three students $5,000.
Bill Sharp Scholarship
The Bill Sharp Award recognizes passion for the pursuit of excellence in marketing, ​advertising and media industry, by awarding one (1) future leader a $3,500 award.
Digitas Multicultural Scholarship
The Digitas Multicultural Scholarship award was established to assist talented diverse students with college tuition who are seeking future careers in the advertising and marketing field. Awarded to MAIP fellows upon completion of the fellowship program.

Agency Of The Year
The MAIP Agency of the Year Award recognizes an agency that has made significant contributions to the MAIP fellowship and its alumni through its ongoing commitment to learning, development ​and growth of the community.
Clarance Leroy
The Clarence Leroy Holte MAIP Fellow of the Year Award was established to recognize a MAIP intern who best exemplifies the passion for advertising, leadership, poise and compassion exhibited by the award’s namesake.
Coach Of The Year
The #MAIPCoach of the Year Award honors an individual who has gone above and beyond their responsibilities to provide consistent guidance and outreach to their mentee.
Gladiator
The Gladiator Award is a symbol of extraordinary achievement and fearlessness in the corporate arena. Its recipients have been steadfast and unyielding in challenging conventional ​wisdom and in transcending the status quo.
Pantheon
The Pantheon Award is given to a transformational leader who is highly regarded as a cultivator, supporter and champion of multicultural talent.
The One Club/MAIP Creative Fellow of the Year
This new award represents the unrelenting spirit and drive we are looking for in the next generation of our industry’s creative advertising professionals.
Sheldon J. Levy Distinguished Fellow of the Year
The award has been established to recognize outstanding fellows who exemplify the ​characteristics that made Levy an industry legend.
Sheldon J. Levy Legacy
The Sheldon J. Levy Legacy Award is granted to an industry leader who demonstrates ​similar leadership, collaboration, and community building skills that made Levy an industry legend.
