The 4A’s Foundation’s Multicultural Advertising Intern Program is a highly intensive fellowship that provides diverse students with the opportunity to work in the advertising, communications and marketing industries. MAIP fellows interact with industry professionals on a day-to-day basis, work across multiple brands, and gain valuable professional credentials to secure their first job in the industry. Students selected for the annual 22-week fellowship program (11 weeks of virtual online training, a 10-week internship experience, and 1-week for Face of Talent) will hone their skills in a variety of advertising/marketing disciplines.
MAIP fellows gain access to over 100+ partner organizations and build a large network before kicking off their full-time career.

Throughout the MAIP experience, MAIP fellows:
- Complete a series of virtual trainings designed to prepare fellows for the industry and their overall internship experience
- Engage in a full-time internship with one of the 4A’s Foundation partner organizations
- Attend evening professional development sessions entitled “MAIP Labs.” MAIP Labs are based in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
- Participate in MAIP summer projects
- Meet with a volunteer professional MAIP Coach for 1:1 professional and personal development conversations
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for MAIP, a student:
- Must identify as Asian/Asian American, Black/African American/Afro-Caribbean, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latinx, American Indian or Alaska Native, Middle Eastern Multiracial or Multiethnic (e.g. Hispanic and Black)
- Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident
- Must currently be an undergraduate college junior*, senior, or graduate student at any accredited, degree-granting university or a student attending a participating 4A’s portfolio school at the time of application**
- To apply to MAIP 2023 | Undergraduate college junior: graduating in Spring/Summer 2024
- To apply to MAIP 2023 | Undergraduate college senior: graduating from Fall 2022, Spring 2023, or Summer 2023
- Must have a (preferred) GPA of 3.0
- If lower than <3.0, student to submit an additional statement for more context
- Must be available to work for the full duration of the fellowship period [June 2023 - August 2023] with no pre-planned time off
*We have a limited number of college junior slots available for our 2023 MAIP Fellowship Cohort. We will be selecting current juniors who showcase a deep rooted drive to change the industry
**Students on the quarter system must arrange early release with their academic department before applying as the fellowship kicks off in June
