SPOTIFY PULSE FELLOWSHIP
The 4A's Foundation and Spotify partnered together to create The Spotify PULSE Fellowship, a 1-year full time creative development program for Black professionals interested in shifting culture by showcasing Black creativity, innovation and Black excellence. The program is slated for Black creatives with 1-3 years of professional experience and who are alumni of the Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP), The Marcus Graham Project, The One School and D&AD. Spotify PULSE is designed to continue to amplify Black voices in the creative industry. The intention of Spotify PULSE is to create a pipeline for Black creatives to bridge the achievement and pay equity gap.

Program Details:
Spotify PULSE Virtual Orientation- One day event to immerse Spotify PULSE fellows into the program, understand program requirements and build community.

Small Beats with Spotify- Bi- Monthly, creative and workshop focused sessions designed to provide fellows with the tools and skills needed to excel in their fellowship roles.

Spotify Coaching- Spotify Pulse fellows will be paired with C-Suite, Executive or Vice President level employees to foster connection, growth and development.

Program Goals:
PREPARE Black creatives interested in shifting culture by showcasing Black creativity, innovation and Black Excellence in the advertising industry through skill building, professional development, portfolio development and mentorship UNDERSTAND the importance of illustrating the Black experience and advocacy necessary in the advertising industry LEVERAGE networking opportunities among Black talent and industry leaders to further support and promote new black creatives' advancement within the industry SUPPORT existing programs like the Marcus Graham Project, MAIP, D&AD and One School to continue amplifying the Black voice and talent in the creative industry EXPAND the Black talent pipeline and bridge the achievement and pay equity gap in the industry |
Program Outcomes:
- Portfolio Development
Fellows will be placed in year long internships at Spotify to continue developing their portfolios and receive feedback from industry leaders.
- Performance Management
Fellows will receive feedback from their supervisors regarding their performance during their internship, so they are aware of their strengths and opportunities for growth to drive their advancement in the industry.
- Professional Development
By being in the inaugural Spotify Pulse Fellowship program, fellows will have the opportunity to advance their intellectual curiosity, creativity, competency and skills.
- Build Confidence as a Black Creative
Fellows will establish their personal brand as Black creatives, learn how to recognize and eliminate racial bias in content, and identify the ways in which they can shift the pulse on black culture. - Exposure to Industry Leaders
Fellows will connect and network with industry leaders through bi-monthly sessions, coaching, internship and exposure to the Spotify network and teams.
