The Billy Davis Award Powered By McCann Worldgroup The Billy Davis Award, powered by McCann Worldgroup, was created in honor of Roquel “Billy” Davis, a legendary songwriter, producer, music director, and Advertising Hall of Fame alum. In the late 1960s, Davis joined McCann after spending more than a decade in the recording industry, leveraging his background and lived experiences, and played a critical role in changing how music was traditionally used in commercials. Davis was a true example of a creative, innovative artist and thinker, who boldly shared his unique perspective and pushed the work – and the industry – forward in a meaningful way. They serve as role models for future generations of talent as they've proven that they can conquer any and all challenges presented to them.
