Sheldon J. Levy Legacy
This award was established to honor the late Sheldon Levy, member of the inaugural 1973 class.
After graduating from Columbia University, Levy spent two years in radio before joining Compton Advertising as an assistant producer in 1976, then Doyle Dane Bernbach as a producer. He went on to establish and run his own TV commercial production company in the early 1990s. Later, Levy returned to Saatchi & Saatchi to assume the role of Deputy Director of Production. Regardless of his title, Levy was always known for his thought leadership, his mentorship, and his impact on the advancement of people of color in the industry.
The Sheldon J. Levy Legacy Award will be granted to an industry leader who demonstrates similar
leadership, collaboration, and community building skills that made Levy an industry legend.
