Kent Matlock is the Founder and CEO of Matlock Advertising & Public Relations, one of America’s most accomplished multicultural communications agencies over the past four decades. He has not only acknowledged, but embraced the duality of serving corporate CEOs, activists, and civil rights leaders to create positive change. Kent has gained national recognition through the design of progressive diversity programs and culturally relevant marketing campaigns for brands like BMW, AT&T, Coca-Cola, Dell, and Nationwide Insurance. The agency continues to provide critical strategic insights for a prominent list of clients, including Publix Supermarkets, Georgia-Pacific, and one of the nation’s largest privately held companies, Koch Industries. The Chicago native holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Morehouse College, and he is a lifelong volunteer with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). Kent serves on various boards including, the International African American Museum and the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia, Inc. He also has served on the boards the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), one of the nation’s leading civil rights organizations; EduPAC Atlanta, which promotes and advocates for the election of qualified school board candidates; and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, which works to improve education in the South through accreditation.
